Knuckle Press
Knuckle Press is a miniature. In this work we investigate how shared body schema allow us to work intricately as a single unit while exploring the potential of discrete movements and gestures. We draw inspiration from a cross cultural ritual, preparing food, from Japanese tea ceremonies to the choreographed cooking show The French Chef and our own daily experiences. This piece is a brief glimpse of two bodies that must work seamlessly together to press, swirl, reach and grasp.
